Highlighting lush, layered flavors, bright acidity and impeccably balanced French oak, Migration is dedicated to crafting wines from the finest cool-climate winegrowing regions. This dedication led us to Santa Barbara County’s renowned Sta. Rita Hills AVA, where Peake Ranch has emerged as one of the Central Coast’s most exciting vineyards. Grown on a steep, northwest-facing slope cooled by clockwork wine and fog off the Pacific, the Wente Clone vines on our prized block of Peake Ranch yield a radiant Chardonnay that combines verve and tension with alluring citrus flavors and sophisticated hints of orange blossom and sea spray minerality

Winemaker Notes
In 2019, Peake Ranch produced a radiant Chardonnay with lovely cool-climate verve and tension. Layers of ripe peach, Granny Smith apple and summer melon dance across the palate, supported by sleek acidity and a subtle French oak-inspired sweetness that lingers on the finish.
Production
On the Central Coast, cooler summer temperatures with no major heat events ensured a long growing season and abundant hangtime, leading to perfect ripeness and flavor development in the grapes. Lower-than-average yields and smaller berries resulted in incredibly rich and concentrated wines, with our Central Coast reds possessing amazing color, bright acids and deep, lush flavors, and our whites displaying beautiful brightness and sophisticated citrus and stone fruit layers.
