Winemaker Notes
Among Cabernet Sauvignon collectors Oakville is rightfully famous for producing wines of singular depth and complexity, and this wine shows why. Dark, luxurious and profoundly complex it offers gorgeous layers of ripe black cherry, black raspberry and fig compote, with sophisticated hints of coffee and crushed rocks. Though rich and opulent, with firm, age-worthy tannins, there is a lovely generosity on the palate that makes this wine both alluring and elegant.
Production
2019 brought another exceptional vintage to Napa Valley, resulting in wines with alluring polish and poise! The season began with a wet winter followed by a mild spring. While this led to a slightly later-than-normal start to the season, ideal summer weather with no significant heat spikes ensured ideal flavor development, yielding complex and vibrant whites, and refined reds with elegant tannins, enticing aromatics and beautiful fruit flavors.
